Over A Decade Architecting Software

Thomas is a native Texan with a diverse background shaped by both military family life and extensive           professional experiences. Thomas's academic journey was marked by a strong affinity for English and technical     communication, the only subjects that truly resonated with him. From a young age, his passion for web development turned him into an obsessive workaholic, with most of his formative memories involving a computer.

I have had starter cars, college cars, and now a new Tesla. These purchases have helped me understand the why people dislike the process, the pressure, the degrading value of a traded vehicle only to see my old car run through the wash and on the dealers lot with a $3600 mark-up. As a young person, it was a lesson learned. 

 Becoming a part of the Help Me Sell My Car team is right to my alley of Entrepreneurial Ventures: In 2019,  Thomas founded Kahu Software LLC with the ambitious goal of revolutionizing the point of sale systems in the waterpark industry, a sector he perceived as significantly neglected by tech advancements. Despite starting with a focus on an employee scheduling module, the COVID-19 pandemic and various career shifts transformed Kahu Software into a web development consulting firm. Here, Thomas honed his expertise in performance optimization, serving a wide array of multi-industry clients, particularly in the automotive sector.

Advocacy for Fair Vehicle Trade: Thomas's personal experience with a dealership, where he faced devaluation of his Camry, was a turning point. He witnessed firsthand the often unfair and impersonal nature of  dealership transactions, where customers are undervalued and hurried through sales processes. This experience ignited a determination to advocate for a more equitable private market in vehicle trade, aiming to protect individuals from similar exploitation.

Vision: With a career rooted in software architecture and a personal mission to enhance fairness in vehicle trading, Thomas now stands at the forefront of HMSMC, driving forward initiatives that align with his expertise and values. His journey reflects a blend of technical acumen and a deep commitment to consumer advocacy, particularly in the realms of boat and motorcycle trading.
